Beautiful views overlooking the lake and a private hot tub to relax in.
This lodge has two rounded ends and looks a bit like a tablet when looking straight at it. All the windows and doors have beautiful views overlooking the lake. You enter this lodges garden through a gate at one end then in to the lodge through the French doors straight into the lounge, kitchen, and dining area. A compact kitchen with gas oven and hob and full size fridge freezer. A double bedroom is at each end of the lodge with the feature curved wall, decoration pays homage to Angel Strawbridge and her beautiful fabrics in both rooms. A shower room to share.
Outside there are relaxing chairs and firepit, table and chairs for long lazy meals and a charcoal BBQ for cooking up a feast at the water’s edge. A wood fired hot tub or cold plunge whichever you prefer. Complimented by your very own pub, created from a shepherds hut this private additional space is your very own bar with seating and fire, overlooking your private secret garden.

Our Green credentials
Our lodges are completely manufactured in the UK, hand built by local craftsman. They have a high level of insulation and fitted with energy efficient appliances, water saving devices like hippo water flush bags in all toilets, aerating shower heads and tap flow restrictors. Where possible we have handmade the furniture or bought quality second hand and up cycled, re-purposed pre-loved furniture. Our sheets and pillowcases have the Global organic textile standard.
We also supply hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner by Wild – a local company who we purchase bulk supplies from to encourage guests to leave their single use plastics at home. Wild products are environmentally friendly all the ingredients are ethically sourced and free from parabens and SLS’s and offer the purest, high quality organic formulas and I’ve chosen their lavender and Eucalyptus scent – seemed fitting as it was originally a lavender farm.
In the natural environment around us we have placed many bug houses, bird boxes and planted 3 acres of bee and bug enticing wild flowers. So far, we have planted over 1000 plants onto our land.

Fishing at
Four Lakes Retreat
We are what our name says. We have four man-made lakes, created over a decade ago and stocked before we bought the land. We are not Fishers, but we understand there are some good size fish to be caught in the Lakes. So, if you’re staying with us and wish to bring a rod with you on holiday your more than welcome to do so. We just need to keep a record of your fishing rod license number for the authorities and ask that you stick to our fishing guidelines that have been put together.
