Just a few reasons why our customers love Four Lakes Retreat

Surroundings

Situated on the outskirts of Newport, in a stunning relaxing spot surrounded by an abundance of wildlife but in the centre of the island meaning all the beauty spots are no more than 30 minutes away.

Our retreat is a sanctuary for wildlife. The lakes teem with mirror carp and are home to many families of ducks and moorhens. Numerous geese and seagulls frequent the area, and we've observed Mallards, Gadwalls, Egrets, Herons, and even a Kestrel. The air is alive with beautiful damselflies, dragonflies, bees, and various insects. Rabbits and their babies dart through the long grass, while our neighbouring fields are graced with the presence of the cutest sheep. On a good day, you can hear the monkeys at feeding time from Monkey Haven just across the road. In some areas of the retreat, we mow the grass, while in others, we allow it to grow long, with wildflowers blooming through. It's idyllic, a place blessed with such abundant natural beauty.

Accommodation

Four Lakes Retreat currently offer three hand built and lovingly created lodges. The lodges and their private outdoor spaces are creatively decorated and built literally on the lake edge.

Enjoy a relaxing, peaceful break on the beautiful Isle of Wight at Four Lakes Retreat.

Fishing at Four Lakes Retreat

We are what our name says. We have four man-made lakes, created over a decade ago and stocked before we bought the land. We are not Anglers, but we understand there are some good size fish to be caught in the Lakes. Carp up to 20lb have beed caught previously! So, if you’re staying with us and wish to bring a rod with you on holiday your more than welcome to do so. We just need to keep a record of your fishing rod license number for the authorities and ask that you stick to our fishing guidelines that have been put together.
