Fishing Guidelines

Our fishing guidelines are in place for yours and others safety. Anglers do so at Four Lakes Retreat at their own risk, we do not accept any liability for injury to yourself or other guests, theft or damage to property.

All anglers must be physically capable of landing and returning the fish safely.

We ask that you do not drink alcohol whilst fishing.

Please turn off rod alarms to maintain the peace and tranquillity of the lakes. 

Please do not leave your rods un-attended at time.

Should you catch any fish please return it as quickly as possible to the water.

Please do not use any plastic baits, sacks, peanuts, tiger nuts or remove the fish from our lakes.

Fishing is permitted from dawn to dusk only.

We are required to keep a record of all of those who fish for the environment agency. Please provide details on your booking form or by email of your license should you wish to fish our lakes. Please ensure you adhere to our fishing guidelines at all times.

Please only use Barbless hooks
Please use landing nets and unhooking mats for the safety of the fish

Please ensure nets, mats and slings are disinfected and dry before fishing

Maximum two rods per person
Please return all fish quickly
Please use carp mouth and body treatment for hook holes and sores

Children must be supervised at all times

Please take great care when landing the fish the lake edges are very steep and should
not be entered

Please do not use leadcore, a braided mainline or leave lines un-attended

We are required to hold your Enviroment Agency fishing license on file to enable you to fish our lakes.
